The FISU World University Games is a prestigious winter sports competition that welcomes athletes from all over the world. Our task was to upgrade the Games’ placeholder website to an online experience that rose to the same elite level as the competition.

Keeping pace all the way to the finish line
Over three years, we partnered closely with the Adirondack Sports Council (ADKSC), the Games’ host, and their brand agency to design, build, and refine the new website, navigating a rigorous government approval process and strict accessibility requirements.
The site’s focus also flexed to accommodate shifting audience priorities over the three years leading up to the Games, including securing athlete partnerships, selling tickets and sponsorships, attracting visitors, and supporting the games during the event itself.

While it’s no longer live, the final website showcased 12 winter sports, 85 events, and numerous venues. With the Games in full swing, the site welcomed nearly 30,000 daily visitors.
