Hello wonderful people.
📺 Hey, who won that big football game? Well, the Philadelphia Eagles. But we have a feeling Tubi is feeling pretty good about themselves right now.
According to Adweek, the streaming platform offered fans the game for free, and in return set a streaming record with 15.5 million viewers during the big game. Was their commercial great? We have some feelings, but we’ll let you be the judge.
As part of the campaign, Tubi doubled down on its “If It’s In You, It’s In Here” campaign with the release of a “Genre-ology” quiz to match users with content on the platform. A brief synopsis from those at Flynn:
- Several “wisecracking remote hijackers”
- Top Genres: Comedy (26%), Fantasy (22%), Drama (11%)
- Top Tubi Picks: Boarders, Everybody Hates Chris, The Love Witch
Disclaimer: this is not a paid promotion for Tubi.
Don’t like calling customer service? Just ask Google.
Google has launched “Ask for Me,” an experimental AI agent that calls businesses on your behalf to inquire about services, pricing, and availability.
Available through Search Labs, users searching for services like mechanics or nail salons may see an Ask for Me option. The AI will make the call, ask questions, and provide updates back to the user via email or SMS. Google plans to extend this feature to more industries based on user feedback.
As AI-driven interactions increase, businesses must adapt to machine-to-machine communication, reshaping customer service dynamics.
Would you trust AI to handle your calls? 🤖📞
Google puts more emphasis on user-friendly landing pages
Yes, more from Google. They recently announced an update that could impact ad quality scores in paid search by placing greater emphasis on easy-to-navigate landing pages.
- What’s Changing? Instead of just considering relevance based on search queries, Google will now assess whether landing pages help users find what they need efficiently.
- Example: If you search for a brand to log in to your account but are directed to a promotional page instead, Google will now prioritize pages that make login access easier.
- Why It Matters: This change improves user experience and ensures advertisers create landing pages that truly align with search intent.
There’s no official date for the change, but marketers should optimize their pages to provide seamless navigation, reduce friction, and improve ad performance.
Cracking the code: How pharma brands can engage digitally savvy healthcare professionals
Marketing to healthcare professionals (HCPs) is evolving, and pharma brands are struggling to capture their attention. A recent article from MM+M highlights key strategies for breaking through:
- Physicians are people too (Preach 🙌): Develop short, impactful content that delivers value for physicians in social settings and don’t be afraid to leverage CTV.
- Personalization matters: An Indegene survey found 26% of HCPs prefer content around brand or product awareness. When developing this content, however, it needs to be tailored to their preferences — market access data, patient affordability, etc.
- Synchronized messaging: Understand the broader ecosystem in which the HCP operates in. Examine the provider organization, payer market, and patients they care for to craft messaging accordingly.
- Specialty-specific tactics:Some specialties are more digitally savvy than others, such as endocrinologists, internalists, and cardiologists. Tap into KOLs (key opinion leaders) in their field to gain trust.
With the right mix of personalization, omnichannel strategies, and digital-first engagement, pharma brands can win HCP attention in a crowded space. 🚀
That’s Cool!
Rather than spending $8 million on a TV spot during the big game, Kia decided to leverage the event to engage customers via a mobile game: squares!
# KiaSquares kicked off on February 4th, and allowed players to pick their spots on the grid before the game. Each spot represented a vehicle that players could win if the score of the game matched the square they picked. Kia pushed the message out via social on Instagram and TikTok where players could engage throughout the game. Who doesn’t love a free car!?
