ROCHESTER, New York, January 9, 2023 – In a move reflecting the company’s past performance and future growth initiatives, integrated marketing agency Flynn today announced the promotion of Kelly Goforth to Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.
Since joining Flynn in 2016, Goforth has led the management of both the financial and personnel sides of the agency, resulting in a healthy bottom line and positive company culture. Those efforts culminated in numerous recognitions for the agency in 2022:
Goforth joined Flynn as Controller and was promoted to Director of Finance and HR as her responsibilities expanded. Now, as CFO, she’ll help guide the agency’s continued success while overseeing its administrative team across finance, human resources, and IT personnel.
“Kelly balances the agency’s needs by keeping a watchful eye on the numbers and assuring that we have the right systems in place to serve our clients, while always grounding our efforts in caring for our people,” said Katie Flynn, Flynn President and third-generation agency leader. “With her years of experience at Flynn and elsewhere, she was the obvious choice for this critical role.”
With 20+ years in accounting and finance, Goforth oversees the day-to-day financial health of the agency, including planning, analysis, and reporting. She also manages Flynn’s vendor partnerships spanning banking, accounting, and third-party software.
Flynn also cited Goforth’s perspective as a critical asset when the agency recently decided to upgrade its project management and HR software to best-in-class platforms. The new systems streamline workflow and improve output while enhancing client reporting.
“I’m passionate about finding opportunities to continually improve our operations so we can pass those benefits on to our clients and staff,” said Goforth. “Flynn strives to be the best partner our clients have ever worked with, and I’m proud to play a part in helping us deliver on this vision.”
Goforth also plays a key role in the agency’s nonprofit initiatives in the Greater Rochester Community, including Flower City Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and the Breast Cancer Coalition. In 2022, under Goforth’s leadership, the agency launched an annual “Purpose Day” where employees volunteer with local nonprofits in need.
