Art Director

Dig integrating strategy with design? Creating visuals that stop the audience cold and make them read further? Working on a wide variety of accounts with a supportive, talented, award-winning team? We’re looking to hire a strong, conceptual visual thinker with an even stronger attention to detail—an individual who is passionate about creative problem solving. As a member of the Creative Department, you will collaborate with several teams—and some pretty amazing clients—to develop highly effective, integrated campaigns. Tactics include (but are not limited to): content marketing, social, websites, apps, email campaigns, banner ads, motion graphics, as well as traditional advertising and branding. This role requires both creative and technical skills.


  • Build brands and craft stories through campaign-level thinking and execution
  • Translate creative strategy across print, web, mobile, TV, and online video
  • Coordinate and develop a wide range of branded content
  • Generate clear ideas and concepts in tandem with the copywriter from start to finish
  • Produce sketches, storyboards, roughs to visualize ideas
  • Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and target audiences
  • Manage workload with multiple concurrent projects, milestones, and timelines
  • Contribute to scoping costs, timing for projects, and proposals as required
  • Support new business development efforts


  • Strong portfolio that clearly demonstrates design principles: color, type, layout, etc.
  • Working knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS, WordPress, and web standards
  • Experienced with Adobe CC: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects
  • Motion design experience and the ability to plan and execute a visual story
  • Tenacious attention to detail and sharp technical skills
  • Team player and collaborator with a customer service mindset
  • Organization, initiative, and problem solving skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Solid presentation skills

Useful Skills:

  • HTML5 Banner Ads: Adobe Animate (concept, design, animate, deploy)
  • Email campaigns: design, code, test, and send
  • Coding and debugging such as: HTML, CSS, Sass, PHP, JavaScript
  • UI/UX design and prototyping apps, such as Adobe XD and Figma
  • 3D modeling and animation tools, such as Cinema 4D and Blender
  • DSLR photography: studio lighting, manual capture, editing
  • Agency and/or leadership experience
  • Diversity encouraged
